About The Position

The Trust Officer is responsible for the administration and oversight of trust, fiduciary, and agency accounts in accordance with governing documents, Nevada trust laws, fiduciary standards, and company policies. This role serves as the primary point of contact for clients, beneficiaries, advisors, attorneys, and other stakeholders while ensuring high-quality service, regulatory compliance, and prudent risk management. The role will be responsible for working with BGS US leadership team to help grow its overall asset base by capturing opportunities presented by targeting trust customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Legal Studies or related field required
  • 5+ years of trust administration, fiduciary services, private banking, wealth management, or estate administration experience
  • Knowledge of Nevada trust laws and fiduciary responsibilities
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in finance or related field preferred
  • Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA)
  • Experience administering various trust (directed, dynasty, asset protection, irrevocable, etc.)
  • Experience with trust accounting and fiduciary tax returns

Responsibilities

  • Administer assigned trust and fiduciary accounts in accordance with trust agreements and applicable laws.
  • Review trust documents and governing instruments to ensure proper account administration.
  • Coordinate distributions, trust funding activities, and account maintenance.
  • Monitor trust activity and identify issues requiring administrative attention.
  • Maintain complete and accurate client records.
  • Serve as point of contact and relationship manager for assigned trust clients
  • Communicate with key stakeholders regarding trust administration matters
  • Respond to client inquiries in a timely an professional manner
  • Participate in client review meetings and planning discussions
  • Foster relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to expand business opportunities and maintain a strong market presence
  • Ensure adherence to fiduciary obligations and company policies
  • Support internal and external audits and regulatory examinations
  • Assist with risk management reviews and trust account assessments
  • Ensure compliance with: Nevada Trust regulations, Banks Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), OFAC requirements, Customer Identification Program (CIP/KYC)
  • Review and approve account documentation and transactions
  • Coordinate annual account reviews and reporting requirements
  • Assist in developing and maintaining trust administration procedures
  • Participate in trust committee and oversight meetings
  • Identify process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
