Your work will include, but not be limited to: Administer irrevocable trusts, charitable trusts, agency accounts, ILITs, and estates; including asset oversight, fund disbursement and receipt, discretionary decisions, documentation, fiduciary duties, and client-specific planning and interpretation. Prepare and review materials for, and participate in, Trust Administration and Trust Investment Committees to provide oversight and governance of trust activities. Maintain regular and proactive contact with grantors, beneficiaries, legal counsel, financial advisors, and other interested parties to discuss and advise on trust-related issues. Collaborate with a dynamic team to oversee and coordinate holistic services provided to clients, delegate and manage staff work, and coach and mentor staff through career development and performance management activities. Integrate knowledge of holistic financial planning including investment management, estate planning, insurance, income tax planning, cash flow planning, philanthropic planning, retirement planning. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by demonstrating empathy and understanding, effectively managing difficult family situations, and navigating family dynamics with sensitivity and professionalism. Engage in practice development, client expansion, and cross-serving to grow the practice by generating leads, meeting with future appointments, maintaining a network of internal and external referral sources, and achieving personal marketing plan and business development goals. Contribute to the internal management of the organization through participation in specified initiatives and projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business (preferably in Finance, Accounting, or Economics) is required.
  • 4-6 years of experience in Personal Trust Account Administration, financial planning, investments, and/or estate planning is required.
  • Detail-oriented leader with strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Actively advancing technical skills in the Trust industry and the financial services industry in general.

Nice To Haves

  • Possess at least one advanced degree or professional designation (JD and/or Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation is highly preferred; Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) or Certified Public Accounting (CPA) is preferred but not required).
