About The Position

The Trusser Labor team member is responsible for preparing whole poultry products for further processing and packaging by properly trussing, positioning, and securing birds according to product specifications. This position plays a key role in maintaining product quality, food safety, and production efficiency while ensuring compliance with Tyson Foods policies and USDA regulations.

Requirements

  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must not have worked for Tyson Foods more than 3 times.
  • Accepts rehires after 365 days.

Responsibilities

  • Truss and prepare whole poultry products according to established product specifications.
  • Position birds properly for processing, packaging, or further production operations.
  • Inspect products for quality and report any defects or abnormalities to supervision.
  • Maintain a continuous flow of product to support production line efficiency.
  • Remove non-conforming products from the production line when necessary.
  • Assist with line setup, product changeovers, and cleanup activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
  • Follow all food safety, quality assurance, animal welfare, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Perform additional production-related duties as assigned by management.
