About The Position

The Truss Plant Table Leader is responsible for the overall performance of the assigned manufacturing area, including production, quality, and safety. This role involves developing and coordinating daily production plans, assigning work schedules, overseeing safety training, and managing machinery maintenance to ensure uninterrupted production. The Table Leader also monitors associate performance, conducts final product inspections, and communicates with the Truss Plant Supervisor on status updates and concerns.

Requirements

  • Previous management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years in wood component manufacturing operation
  • 3+ year in a supervisory or managerial role in a manufacturing facility
  • Associate's degree or an equivalent work experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (both English & Spanish)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office (excel)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge with Mitek Software a plus
  • Familiar with TCT saws, Alpine-Style Gantries and Wizard Automation
  • Maintenance experience of truss equipment would be helpful.
  • Experience in truss cutting and assembly
  • Possess knowledge in loading and shipping methods
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review and coordinate daily production plans, while identifying and solving problems that may impact production.
  • Plan and assign work schedules of associates to meet the needs of plant operations.
  • Develop associates with cross-training programs to expand the skill levels of associates.
  • Oversee safety training programs and conducts safety meetings to ensure adherence to all government and company policies.
  • Develop plans to meet company goals of the truss plant operation.
  • Monitor associate performance, conduct and work behavior; and provide coaching and training tips to ensure adherence to company standards for quality and quantity of work.
  • Perform final inspection of finished products prior to delivery.
  • Communicate with the Truss Plant Supervisor to provide status updates, production goals, concerns and problem resolution; and participates in strategy sessions.
  • Manage machinery and equipment maintenance procedures and schedules and cleanup routines for workstations to ensure that production is uninterrupted.
