About The Position
Richco Structures is looking to grow our design team! This is not a remote position. The Truss Designer reads residential and commercial plans to design wood trusses using software for roof, floor, and wall truss systems. The designer communicates both verbally and in writing to team members, customers, and production staff to ensure designs are accurate and meet customer specifications.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years design or drafting experience/training preferred. Will train.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Knowledge of construction industry preferred
- Strong math skills
- Ability to communicate orally and written
- Strong work ethic
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Design structural components
- Produce individual plans and final layouts for roof, floor, and wall trusses
- Resolve any discrepancies as needed
