About The Position
Richco Structures is looking to grow our design team! This role involves reading residential and commercial plans to design wood trusses using software for roof, floor, and wall truss systems. The designer will communicate verbally and in writing with team members, customers, and production staff to ensure designs are accurate and meet customer specifications.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years design or drafting experience/training preferred
- Basic computer knowledge
- Strong math skills
- Ability to communicate orally and written
- Strong work ethic
Nice To Haves
- Will train
- Knowledge of construction industry preferred
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Design structural components
- Produce individual plans and final layouts for roof, floor, and wall trusses
- Resolve any discrepancies as needed
