About The Position
Wick Buildings is seeking motivated individuals to join our plant production team as a Truss Builder. This role plays a key part in the construction of high-quality building components used in post-frame structures. You’ll work in a new, modern, clean, and safety-focused manufacturing facility designed for efficiency, comfort, and high-quality production. As part of our team, you’ll help build roof and structural trusses while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that prioritizes safety and craftsmanship.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role (lifting, standing, repetitive motion)
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to read measurements and basic construction drawings (preferred but not required—we will train)
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
Nice To Haves
- Previous construction, manufacturing, or carpentry experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Assemble wood trusses using pre-cut lumber and metal connector plates
- Read and follow truss drawings, cut sheets, and production schedules
- Operate hand tools, pneumatic equipment, and truss table systems
- Ensure trusses are built accurately to specifications and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Perform visual quality checks on completed trusses
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper material handling and equipment use
