About The Position

This position is part of a team that assembles wood truss components into roof and floor trusses according to engineered drawings. Truss Assembly 2 and Truss Assembly 3 represent different levels of experience and ability within the assembly team. The role requires meeting production and delivery schedules while maintaining quality, accurate labeling, and a safe, organized work area. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or authorized to work in the U.S. New hires must complete a pre-employment background check and drug test.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
Must complete a pre-employment background check and drug test.
Ability to read and interpret truss shop drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to accurately interpret engineered shop drawings.
Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to read a tape measure.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to internal and external customers through a positive attitude and approach.
Maintain the quality, productivity, and labeling of produced trusses according to assigned production schedules.
Complete assembly of required trusses to meet customer delivery schedules.
Assemble trusses correctly according to shop drawings, matching lumber and plate specifications to the engineered design.
Follow company safety policies and procedures, considering the safety of oneself, the build team, and others in the plant, and wear required PPE.
Ensure plates are correctly sized, placed, and attached before pressing.
Maintain a clean work area and keep inventory organized.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
