About The Position

This position is part of a team that assembles wood truss components into roof and floor trusses according to engineered drawings. The Truss Assembly 2 or Truss Assembly 3 designation reflects different levels of experience and ability within each assembly team. The role supports production schedules and customer delivery requirements while following quality and safety standards. Employees may also be asked to perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
Complete a pre-employment background check and drug test.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as truss shop drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, including accurately interpreting engineered shop drawings.
Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and to read a tape measure.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to internal and external customers through a professional attitude and approach.
Maintain the quality, productivity, and labeling of trusses according to assigned production schedules, and complete assembly of required trusses to meet customer delivery schedules.
Assemble trusses according to shop drawings, matching lumber and plate specifications to the design.
Work safely by following company policies and procedures, considering the safety of oneself and others, and wearing required PPE.
Ensure plates are correctly sized, placed, and attached before pressing.
Maintain the work area by keeping it clean and inventory organized.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
