About The Position

Ranger College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Project Specialist. The Specialist will provide grant-funded services and activities to recruit and assist students for education in our Construction Management program. This is a grant funded position that goes through December 1, 2027. Objectives of this role Ensures TRUE grant Goals and Activities are successfully met. Oversees all grant related items for TRUE grant. Ensures compliance with all grant-related items. Recruit students and see that students successfully complete Construction Management program. Work with local and regional businesses and develop employment pathways for graduating students. Coordinates the operations of campus food pantries, clothes closets and resource centers with other department personnel. Actively contributes and participates in group meetings. Assists students during the registration process when needed. Refer students to appropriate on-campus and off-campus resources for assistance with academic and non-academic challenges to student success – Basic Needs Applications operations. Awareness and understanding of RC’s processes and procedures to respond to student needs for information Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • At least one year of experience with recruitment and/or working with special populations.
  • Demonstration of desire and ability to work positively and effectively as a team member.
  • Demonstration of strong work ethic.
  • Ability to prioritize multi-tasks, demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Experience working on state and/or federal grants
  • Goal setting and strategic planning experience
