About The Position

As a food distributor, ensuring the sanitation of inside the trailers for the next load is critical for food safety, and a clean exterior helps with promoting the company. You will work in a fast-paced yard with a short turnaround time for getting Trucks and Trailers ready to go back on the road and have the opportunity for overtime as well! This role involves washing trucks and trailers, ensuring their cleanliness for food safety and company image. You will also perform secondary duties such as driving trucks to the fuel island, fueling them, and documenting repair needs. The job requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently in a fast-paced environment with exposure to varying weather conditions.

Requirements

Able to work independently
Reliable
Some computer experience required
Able to drive an automatic and manual transmission in heavy duty trucks
High school or equivalent

Nice To Haves

CDL license preferred

Responsibilities

Washing out trailers
Wash tractors and trailers
Wash any parts needed for repairs
Act as back-up shag driver when needed
Drive trucks and trailers to and from the Fuel Island in a safe and efficient manner, to include both manual and automatic transmissions
Fuel trucks and trailers
Review trucks/trailers for repair needs and document such needs
Thoroughly and accurately perform all required record keeping, most of which is done electronically
Park in correct location when completed
