About The Position

US Foods is seeking a Truck Washer to join their team. This role is crucial to the success of the organization, ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of fleet vehicles. The Truck Washer will be responsible for washing the exterior of tractors and the interior of trailers, checking fluid levels, and reporting any service issues. This position offers a starting pay rate of $20/hour and a stable schedule, with opportunities for career growth within the company.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED preferred
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations
Valid state Driver's License
Ability to drive and operate Fleet equipment, tractor, trailer, and service vehicles
Ability to work Sunday - Thursday PM shift
Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Computer experience

Nice To Haves

Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
Ability to work overtime when needed

Responsibilities

Washing exterior of tractors and interior of trailers
Moving equipment around the truck yard
Checking oil, washing windows, checking tire pressures, and maintaining proper fluid levels in tractors and Thermo-King units
Reporting service issues to the maintenance shop
Logging in and out of the ShopFax maintenance system to track assigned jobs
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines
Attending all required company meetings and training
Performing other duties as assigned
Complying with EPA and OSHA regulations as pertaining to the shop and fleet
Working outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions
Climbing up to Thermo-King units
Communicating with co-workers and drivers with demonstrated teamwork skills
