About The Position

Van-Kam Freightways is currently seeking a Red Seal certified Truck Mechanic to join our team in Surrey, BC. As a trailer mechanic you will be responsible the inspection, maintenance, and repair of the trailers to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A strong customer service attitude.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair truck components, including brakes, suspension systems, electrical systems, and tires.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks.
• Repair or replace damaged truck parts and components.
• Keep accurate records of all inspections, repairs and maintenance performed on each trailer.
• collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and solve complex truck issues.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while working on trucks.
