About The Position

Van-Kam Freightways is currently seeking a Red Seal certified Trailer Mechanic to join our team in Victoria, BC. As a trailer mechanic you will be responsible the inspection, maintenance, and repair of the trailers to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A strong customer service attitude.
• Red Seal Certification is an asset.
• We strongly encourage aspiring apprentices to apply

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair trailer components, including brakes, suspension systems, electrical systems, and tires.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks.
• Repair or replace damaged trailer parts and components.
• Keep accurate records of all inspections, repairs and maintenance performed on each trailer.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and solve complex trailer issues.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while working on trailers.
