About The Position

American Fleet Service is seeking all levels of Diesel Truck Technicians with diagnostic experience to join their team. This is an opportunity to work in a supportive and friendly environment at an independent diesel truck shop in Portsmouth, Virginia, that services all makes and models of trucks and trailers. The company has been in business for 18 years.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Own tools
• Diagnostic experience

Nice To Haves

• CDL License
• State Inspection License
• ASE Certifications
• EPA609 A/C Certification
• Technical School Training

Responsibilities

• Engine repairs
• Valve adjustments
• Fuel injector replacements
• Transmission and driveline repairs (clutches, PTO's, U-joints, differentials)
• Electrical diagnostics
• Computer diagnostics
• Wire by wire analysis
• Trailer repairs (lighting, suspension, brakes, doors)
• HVAC diagnostics, repairs, and charging
• Minor to medium weld repairs
• Federal DOT Inspections
• After Treatment diagnostics and repair
