About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Truck Loader - Mid-Shift to join our team in Reno, NV! The core hours are 11 am - 7 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours at times. The hourly rate for this position is $28.07 per hour + $0.50 shift premium. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months of previous forklift or material handling experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends with little advanced notice.
  • Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance and occasionally lift more than 35 lbs. with assistance with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year + of forklift or material handling experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting.
  • Crane Certified

Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift to move components, supplies, and finished goods
  • Load and unload trailers
  • Pick and pull stock for delivery
  • Organize pallet area
  • Organize material storage locations in front yard and inside the building
  • Complete daily forklift inspection
  • Oversee and complete recycling duties for assigned area (i.e., emptying cardboard bins to the cardboard baler daily, operating cardboard baler, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
  • Keeps work areas clean and safe.
  • Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to: Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
  • Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
  • Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.
