About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Truck Loader - Mid-Shift to join our team in Reno, NV! The core hours are 11 am - 7 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours at times. The hourly rate for this position is $28.07 per hour + $0.50 shift premium. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

Minimum 6 months of previous forklift or material handling experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting.
Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format.
Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends with little advanced notice.
Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance and occasionally lift more than 35 lbs. with assistance with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

1 year + of forklift or material handling experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting.
Crane Certified

Responsibilities

Operate a forklift to move components, supplies, and finished goods
Load and unload trailers
Pick and pull stock for delivery
Organize pallet area
Organize material storage locations in front yard and inside the building
Complete daily forklift inspection
Oversee and complete recycling duties for assigned area (i.e., emptying cardboard bins to the cardboard baler daily, operating cardboard baler, etc.)
Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise.
Keeps work areas clean and safe.
Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to: Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas.
Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor.
Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.
