Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in industrial manufacturing
  • Hazardous Material Handling
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed throughout the shift
  • Ability to stand, kneel/stoop, and walk for the duration of the shift
  • Requires good hand/eye/foot coordination
  • Vision: 20/20 corrected; and normal hearing range
  • Able to work in a non-climate controlled environment – cold in winter months and hot in the summer months
  • Boots: steel or composite toed
  • Safety Glasses
  • Gloves: latex, work gloves, etc.
  • Hearing Protection
  • Sleeves: cut resistant
  • Properly fitted clothing
  • Hard Hat (in designated areas)
  • Offer highest level of innovation and problem-solving skills to influence overall efficiency, improvements in productivity, outcomes, etc.
  • Use verbal skills to transfer information to operators, maintenance, and management
  • Complete reports such as production, quality, and inventory legibly
  • Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, ratios
  • Internal manufacturing systems

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Plant Safety Rules and Regulations.
  • Utilize proper PPE at all times.
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous material safely and per policy.
  • Produce continuous quality parts and ensure all quality procedures are followed.
  • Comply with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Complete Manufacturing/Quality documents.
  • Communicate with internally concerning deviations or general requests.
  • Assist in 6s and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Verify compliance to local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
  • Complete environmental reports as necessary.
  • Independently operate machines, equipment, and produce production parts to required tolerances.
  • Read and comprehend customer specification sheets; anticipate the next order and stage supplies/products as needed.
  • Utilize Company systems for reporting production, scrap, inventory, etc.
  • Follow direction and product required quantities.
  • Verify drums are completed to daily schedule requirements at an acceptable level of quality.
  • Ensure all shipping materials are used correctly.
  • Ensure drums are loaded correctly in appropriate trailer.
  • Arrange dock areas to be clean, tidy, and safe.
  • Sort and rearrange rejected drums into designated area.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues with other operators, maintenance, and management.
  • Maintain working area in a clean, orderly and safe condition.
  • Carry out minor maintenance overhauls and parts changes, including designated preventative maintenance.
  • Track issues with downtime and/or equipment.
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings.
  • Perform all other duties as required or requested.
