About The Position

Thatcher Company of New York is seeking a Truck Loader Operator for its Williamson, New York facility. The role involves loading and unloading tanks, rail cars, tanker trailers, and other containers; operating plant equipment and processes, pumps, loading equipment, and forklifts; and moving trailers around the plant with commercial yard trucks. The position is a Monday–Friday day-shift role. The successful candidate will regularly lift up to 50 pounds, work in extreme temperatures, and wear applicable personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Desire and demonstrated ability to work safely and promote safe work practices.
• Be quality conscious.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well for safety and operations.
• Aptitude for following detailed written and verbal instructions and learning additional skills with experience.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to wear applicable personal protective equipment, including chemical-resistant gloves and boots, safety glasses, hard hat, face shield, full-face respirator if required, and chemical splash suit.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload tanks, rail cars, tanker trailers, and other containers.
