Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years of experience in Truck Rental and Leasing
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Advanced mathematical skills needed to price, quote, and sell complex equipment packages
  • Excellent sales, communication, and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Marketing: Consistently gather prospect data from various sources including competition, Polk registrations, fleet seek, existing parts and service customers, ownership accounts, competitive brands, internet/LinkedIn, networking events, and trade shows. Maintain a prospect system (CRM, CV360, or Excel) for storing and updating prospect data, including scheduled follow-ups. Contact prospects through face-to-face visits, monthly sales blitzes, telephone, email, and direct mail. Participate in market and rate surveys, collecting and qualifying data, including competitor information and market rental rates. Participate in the preparation of annual marketing plans and measure results. Participate in customer appreciation, retention, and satisfaction events and programs.
  • Sales: Conduct outside sales responsibilities including scheduled appointments with decision-makers, fact-finding calls, needs assessments, and proposals. Prepare weekly itinerary with action plans, weekly summary of activities, and weekly summary of pipeline. Prepare and present Full Service Lease proposals in person using approved proposal formats. Pursue assigned Full Service Lease and Commercial Rental sales quotas, including new accounts, number of vehicles (adds, replacements, new business), rental utilization, and revenue margin sold. Satisfy OEM (Mack, Isuzu) training requirements. Prepare forecasts of monthly and annual sold business and communicate with the Leasing Manager. Sell and deliver a minimum number of FSLs per month/annually. Write complete sales orders and process paperwork according to dealership policies. Stay up-to-date on new products and services. Maintain a customer follow-up system for repeat and referral business. Maintain a prospect development system. Conduct business ethically and professionally. Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand operating features, coverages, and paperwork. Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize service quality and maintenance scheduling. Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Administrative: Complete customer credit applications, rate sheets, Full Service Lease Agreements, Schedule “A” Agreements, and Commercial Rental Agreements accurately and on time. Secure and ensure accuracy of customer insurance binders. Assist in collecting receivables from assigned customers. Communicate with and assist the Leasing Manager with rental reservations, long-term rental commitments, legalization of new and replaced equipment, in-service prep and delivery of new and replaced equipment, substitution needs, service department needs for FSL/Commercial Rental customers, and administrative needs (billing rates, customer information, etc.).
