Truck Inspector / SAP Data Clerk
About The Position
The Truck Inspector / SAP Data Clerk is responsible for checking in all tanker trucks, ensuring accuracy in driver and facility paperwork before entering the chemical plant. This role verifies prior tanker truck contents and current weights for compatibility, checks valves, manways, and seals, and conducts pressure tests to ensure product integrity. The position also involves producing scale tickets for plant access, performing data entry in the SAP system, communicating instructions to truck drivers, and completing all necessary daily paperwork and housekeeping duties to maintain a safe work environment. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Must be able to follow OSHA safety standards and be safety conscious at all times
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Stable work history with good references from past employers
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience utilizing SAP or any computer programs is preferred, but not required
- Prior experience working in a chemical plant, industrial or manufacturing work environment is a plus, but not required
- Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus
Responsibilities
- Checks in all tanker trucks and ensure accuracy in driver / facility paperwork prior to entering the chemical plant
- Verifies prior tanker truck contents and current weights for compatibility to enter the facility and be loaded
- Checks all valves, manways, seals and conducts pressure tests to ensure no signs of leaks or product
- Produces scale tickets for each tanker truck to gain access into the chemical plant
- Performs data entry regarding all tanker trucks status in the SAP computer system
- Communicates instructions to each tanker truck regarding destination within the plant and all procedures / policies that must be followed
- Completes all paperwork throughout daily activities, follows all operational and safety procedures
- Completes all housekeeping duties to ensure a safe work space
- Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job
