Truck Driver
About The Position
The Truck Driver position is responsible for the operation of an over-the-road commercial vehicle, 26,000 lbs. + with air brakes. This role involves completing daily truck, pre-trip/post-trip, and equipment inspections to ensure mechanical safety and that emergency equipment is in good working order. The driver will operate company equipment, transport material, and maintain all required certifications as per DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs. Understanding different vehicle transmissions and properly securing loads are key aspects of the job. The Truck Driver will also complete daily trip logs and communicate with office staff and the site manager for directions and instructions. Additionally, maintaining equipment in good working condition, including cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service are expected responsibilities.
Requirements
- Possess valid Class A CDL, or Class B for roll-off and lugger driving only
- Pass review of MVR (no more than 6 points allowed for insurance coverage)
- Pass driving test administered by Oscar Winski personnel
- Pass CDL physical at designated facility
- Complete all paperwork required for the Driver Qualification File
- This position falls under DOT random drug screen regulations
- Truck driver is also required to open and close container doors
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or equivalent, preferred
- At least 2 years driving experience, preferred
Responsibilities
