About The Position

Xanitos, Inc. is seeking a full-time Truck Driver at its Erlanger Laundry location in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Laundry Truck Driver loads and transports clean and soiled linen to and from client locations. The position is on the first shift, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., pays $23.00 per hour, and requires weekend work. Qualified candidates may receive an immediate offer. The role involves weighing soiled linen and recording weights by client location, maintaining the truck interior, reporting equipment problems, complying with road rules and company procedures, cleaning carts as needed, and wearing personal protective equipment when loading and unloading. The driver follows direction from Director or Operations Manager personnel and may be assigned other responsibilities by their direct report. Healthcare employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment, absent a legally required medical or religious exception. Employees must report vaccination status and upload proof through a secure online portal. A high school diploma is required; equivalent work experience is preferred. Candidates should be flexible about working differing shifts and have a strong service and quality attitude, communication skills, and leadership skills. The work environment may include fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, loud noise, and hot or humid conditions. The job requires prolonged standing and other physical activity, including frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds, as well as pushing or pulling rolling linen carts weighing up to 600 pounds with assistance or approved devices. Requirements

Responsibilities

Follow direction given by Director or Operations Manager personnel.
Weigh soiled linen from each client location and record the soiled pounds by location.
Keep the interior of trucks clean.
Report equipment problems to the maintenance department.
Follow all rules and regulations of the road.
Clean out carts when required.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Do not leave the truck running at client locations.
Wear protective apparel (PPE) when loading and unloading trucks.
Perform other responsibilities assigned by the direct report.
