About The Position

Golden Peanut in Dawson, GA is seeking a Truck Driver/Operator for a rotating shift (days and nights, including weekends and holidays). The pay is $14.50 per hour, with an additional $1.50 per hour for night shifts. Under limited supervision, Truck Operators are responsible for managing, loading, and transporting trailer inventory throughout the site. This role also involves maintaining proper bin levels, managing production throughput and quality standards, sanitation upkeep, and adjusting process equipment as needed. Operators must have a strong understanding of plant flow to make swift changes for production rate maximization. The company is ADM, a global leader in human and animal nutrition and agricultural origination and processing.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience driving a truck, preferably larger than a standard box truck.
  • 1+ year of experience with safely moving trailers, including aligning, backing, and maneuvering in tight spaces.
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Willingness to learn the position and other positions in the plant.
  • Will participate in all safety training, process training, etc.
  • Must include updated resume or full work history with dates of employment in the application.
  • Must show required experience.
  • Requires ankle supporting height (no tennis shoes) steel toe boots.
  • Successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, load, and transport trailer inventory throughout the site.
  • Maintain proper bin levels.
  • Manage production throughput and quality standards.
  • Perform sanitation upkeep.
  • Manage and adjust process equipment as needed.
  • Complete any necessary tasks.
  • Conduct job tasks with a positive, safe attitude and maintain a safe work record.
  • Maintain a good attendance record.
  • Work rotating shifts of various lengths including weekends and holidays.
  • Maintain good communication with all plant personnel.
  • Maintain production rates.
  • Perform assigned job tasks easily and independently while being flexible to work in a team setting.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and complete sanitation paperwork and duties as required.
  • Conduct daily inspections, reporting any problems noted.
  • Continuously monitor and clean equipment for optimal performance and quality.
  • Operate machines and vehicles within guidelines and safety requirements.
  • Move product with various equipment including forklift, truck, etc.
  • Review production records and labeling for accuracy.
  • Move/lift objects up to 55 lbs.
  • Sit, stand, crouch, lift, transport, twist, squat, bend, use shovels, brooms and other tools, and climb stairs and ladders with other physical requirements including repetitive hand use throughout every shift.
