About The Position

The Truck Driver operates an over-the-road commercial vehicle weighing 26,000 pounds or more with air brakes to transport materials. The role includes inspecting and maintaining the truck and equipment, securing loads, completing trip logs and required paperwork, and communicating with office and site personnel for directions and instructions. Drivers provide customer service and may be assigned other duties. The position operates under DOT random drug-screen regulations and requires opening and closing container doors. The driver works in a climate-controlled vehicle and is also exposed to outdoor weather elements.

Requirements

Possess a valid Class A CDL, or a Class B CDL for roll-off and lugger driving only.
Pass an MVR review; no more than 6 points are allowed for insurance coverage.
Pass a driving test administered by Oscar Winski personnel.
Pass a CDL physical at a designated facility.
Complete all paperwork required for the Driver Qualification File.
Comply with DOT random drug-screen regulations.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily truck, pre-trip, post-trip, and equipment inspections to verify mechanical safety and that emergency equipment is in good working order.
Operate company equipment and transport materials.
Maintain certifications required by DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs.
Understand and operate vehicles with different transmission patterns and demands.
Secure loads according to applicable rules.
Complete daily trip logs.
Communicate with the office assistant and site manager to receive site directions and instructions.
Keep equipment clean and in good working condition.
Provide excellent customer service to customers.
Open and close container doors.
Complete other duties as assigned.
