Referral bonus program Tuition reimbursement HSA Medical plan option with annual company contribution Perks at Work – discounts on shopping, travel & more Proven continued business growth for future opportunities Position Overview: Reporting to the Fleet Supervisor, the Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and timely shipment and delivery of materials, dunnage, and finished goods between Gehl Foods facilities, external warehouses, suppliers, and other business partners. This role plays a critical part in supporting operations, customer satisfaction, and product safety.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in the State of Wisconsin
  • Valid Tanker Endorsement
  • Valid Class H Hazmat Endorsement
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial driving experience
  • Clean driving record with no accidents or reportable incidents within the past 3 years
  • Ability to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in English
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize, communicate, and multitask in a fast-paced production and shipping environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including various hours and shifts
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles in all weather conditions and industrial environments
  • Comply with all safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies, including GMPs and GFSI standards
  • Act with honesty, accountability, and respect in all interactions
  • Support a culture of integrity by speaking up and addressing risks or unsafe practices
  • Accurately document and execute job responsibilities in compliance with company and regulatory expectations

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial vehicles and related equipment in compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and all applicable federal, state, and local requirements
  • Transport materials, dunnage, and finished goods between company facilities, warehouses, suppliers, and business partners
  • Inspect tractors, trailers, and equipment to ensure they are safe, compliant, and in proper working condition
  • Accurately complete driver logs, inspection reports, shipping documents, accident reports, and other required documentation
  • Safely load and unload materials in various conditions, properly securing loads to prevent injury, damage, or loss
  • Ensure trailers are properly loaded with regard to weight distribution and load security
  • Verify trailer seals, glad hand locks, dock restraints, jack stands, and other safety devices are correctly used when required
  • Communicate effectively with internal team members and external partners to meet delivery and customer expectations
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Quality Policy, and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards to ensure product safety and quality
  • Work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts as needed to support business demands
  • Perform other duties as assigned
