About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Class A CDL Truck Driver to join Crosslin Trucking’s team. Are you sick of driving for a large corporation? The ideal candidate is safety focused, dependable, and committed to delivering loads on time while representing the company with professionalism. In this Class A CDL Truck Driver position you would be responsible for transporting lumber material to job sites and driving a truck-mounted Moffett forklift to unload the lumber at the job site. The driver must always drive safely and be professional and courteous when talking with customers/dispatch. You must have a current valid Class A CDL, current medical certification card and a clean driving record. Class A CDL Truck Driver must be able to work independently and possess time management skills.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED
  • Hold a valid Class A CDL, current medial certification card, and possess a clean driving record along with personal insurance.
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Able to work independently and lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience
  • Ability to communicate and engage with people from various cultures and backgrounds.
  • Interact with customers and fellow employees in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment: forklifts and truck mounted Moffett forklifts

Responsibilities

  • Operate company vehicle in a professional, safe and courteous manner
  • Organizing and securing the cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle; ensuring each load is properly strapped for transportation.
  • Drive a delivery truck on a predetermined route and schedule; deliver items as instructed
  • Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Abide by traffic laws, ensuring safe unlading and delivery to the destination.
  • Ensure delivery trucks are clean and in good working condition; perform daily required maintenance checks and report any malfunctions to Supervisor, ensure any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving
