About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL-A Driver to join our team. This role involves operating both semi and straight trucks for local deliveries. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable interacting with customers while representing the company in a professional manner. This position typically works Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with overtime and schedule flexibility required, including occasional driving at nights.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A license
  • Clean driving record and ability to meet all DOT requirements
  • Experience operating both semi-trucks and straight trucks
  • Ability to safely use material handling equipment (hand truck, pallet jack)
  • Strong time management and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Basic computer and electronic logging skills
  • Ability to safely drive in adverse weather or road conditions.
  • Ability to pull and or push a hand truck or pallet jack for product unloading.
  • Frequently required to sit and climb in/out of vehicles.
  • Constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, and controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and walk.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. without assistance.
  • Must be able to use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and be able to adjust vision focus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate both semi-trucks (50–75% of the time) and straight trucks for local deliveries
  • Transition from primarily semi-truck driving into ownership of a dedicated straight truck route
  • Safely operate equipment in compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies
  • Perform pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections
  • Load and unload freight using a hand truck and/or pallet jack as needed
  • Accurately complete delivery documentation, logs, and electronic records
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding schedules, delays, and issues
  • Maintain cleanliness and perform basic upkeep of assigned vehicles
  • Follow all federal, state, and local transportation laws
  • Perform other duties as assigned
