About The Position

Cadrex is searching for a Truck Driver who will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of raw materials, components, and finished goods between manufacturing facilities, suppliers, and customers. This role ensures that deliveries are completed in accordance with company policies, safety regulations, and delivery schedules. The driver will also be responsible for vehicle inspections, load securement, and maintaining accurate records of shipments.

Requirements

  • Valid [State] CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) – Class A
  • Able to pass a DOT physical
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment (preferred)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow delivery instructions
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed
  • High School Diploma
  • Certification from an accredited CDL school a plus

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of truck driving experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operate company trucks to transport goods to and from designated locations
  • Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to route schedules and safety regulations
  • Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition
  • Report any maintenance issues or mechanical problems to the appropriate department
  • Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) and company safety guidelines
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
  • Ensure all shipping paperwork, including bills of loading and delivery receipts, is properly completed
  • Comply with federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations
  • Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams
  • Communicate any delays, issues, or concerns to the Logistics Manager or Dispatch team
  • Represent the company positively while on the road and at delivery sites
  • Verify that shipments match delivery manifests before departure
  • Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting and damage during transit
  • Assist in warehouse operations when needed, such as loading and unloading trucks
