About The Position

Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers. You will drive late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks, sleeper cab tractors with 53’ refrigerated trailers. These trucks have best-in-class specs designed for comfort and reliability on the road and are equipped with inward and outward facing in-cab cameras helping to ensure safety for all. You will run consistent routes within a 2500-mile radius, averaging 2400 miles per week with 5 stops. This role involves 3 to 4 layovers per week (paid per diem). The freight is no-touch, primarily drop and hook plus trailer shuttling between warehouses. A typical route is from St. Michael, MN to Noblesville, IN. The schedule is Tuesday through Friday with an early AM start, averaging 40 to 50 hours per week. Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL required
  • Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
  • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to see and hear
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg

Responsibilities

  • Run consistent routes within a 2500-mile radius

  • Ensure safety for all by utilizing in-cab cameras
  • Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance
  • Work the required schedule
  • Work at the specific location required
  • Complete Penske employment application
  • Submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history)
  • Submit to a drug screening
  • Maintain a constant state of alertness and operate in a safe manner
  • Accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others
  • Legally operate a motor vehicle
  • Safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area
