About The Position

CHS is looking for a Driver/Operations Specialist to join our team in Holdrege! This individual will haul liquid fertilizer products to local customers in the area, and work operations at the site when driving is slow. A Class A CDL is required for this position and highly preferred, we would be willing to work with Class B drivers to upgrade their license for the right candidate. A tanker endorsement is also required, we will help a candidate obtain this if they do not have one. Join our amazing team today!

Requirements

Knowledge of Operations and/or Trucking Operations
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Must meet minimum age requirement
Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card
Ability to lift 75 lbs
Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs and bins, and into back of trailer
Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or GED preferred
Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred
Valid Class A CDL preferred
Agriculture background preferred
Customer service experience preferred
Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred

Responsibilities

As directed, carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently.
Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading including sampling, loosening large nuts, opening hatches, and attaching or detaching hoses.
Load and unload agricultural inputs using machinery or equipment.
Conduct and record repairs and maintenance tasks.
Monitor and maintain quality of inventory.
Deliver products to customer sites safely and accurately.
Ensure compliance with all laws including pre- and post-trip reporting and hours of service.
Maintain clean and safe work areas and vehicles.
Perform grounds maintenance including snow removal.
Perform warehouse duties including forklift operation.
Report customer complaints and safety concerns promptly.
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture.
Follow all company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned
