About The Position

CHS is looking for a truck driver/operations specialist to join our team in Onida. This individual will haul agronomy products to local customers in the area, and help with operations at the site when driving is slow. This is a Monday- Friday, daytime role, with overtime opportunities available during our busy season each spring. Our ideal candidate will have a Class A CDL in hand, but we are willing to help the right candidate obtain a CDL license if needed.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Trucking Operations
• Must meet minimum age requirement
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card
• Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends
• Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred
• Valid Class A CDL preferred
• Agriculture background preferred
• Customer service experience preferred
• Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently.
• Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading.
• Load and unload agricultural inputs using machinery or equipment.
• Conduct and record repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Monitor and maintain inventory quality.
• Deliver products safely and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations including hours of service.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Perform grounds and warehouse maintenance.
• Report safety or customer issues promptly.
• Maintain strong safety culture.
• Perform other assigned duties
