About The Position

CHS Devils Lake is hiring an Operations Specialist/Truck Driver in Edmore, North Dakota. The role supports daily operations through equipment maintenance, facility upkeep, and assistance across agronomy functions as needed. Duties vary by season and may include operating forklifts and skid steers, assisting with seed and chemical operations in spring, maintaining the yard in summer, and snow removal in winter. This is a hands-on, team-focused position requiring flexibility and a willingness to help where needed. CHS provides support and training for employees who need to obtain a CDL.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in operations and/or trucking operations.
• Meet the minimum age requirement.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card.
• Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds.
• Ability to climb railcars, ladders, stairs, and bins, and climb into the back of a trailer.
• Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Agriculture background.
• Customer service experience.
• Bulk liquid, pressure trailer, or forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently.
• Prepare trucks and railcars for loading and unloading.
• Load and unload agricultural inputs using machinery or equipment.
• Conduct and record repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Monitor and maintain inventory quality.
• Deliver products safely and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations, including hours of service.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Perform grounds and warehouse maintenance.
• Report safety or customer issues promptly.
• Maintain a strong safety culture.
• Perform other assigned duties.
