About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Non-CDL Truck Driver in Mira Loma, CA — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. This position offers hourly pay of $24.00 per hour with 40+ hours per week, and a schedule of Tuesday - Saturday starting at 7:00 AM. Drivers will deliver SOLO to a yard, performing local routes and returning home daily. The tractor type is a Day Cab, and the trailer type is a Dry Van (48', 53'). Freight is Drop and Hook. Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Must have verifiable driving experience in "like" equipment: 9 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Yard Driver Examination
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
• Candidates who possess a valid Commercial Drivers License will be subject to FMCSA requirements, including but not limited to, pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query.

• This position does not require the operation of CDL-regulated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard, but cannot drive on public roads
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Maintaining accurate move and yard inventory records
• Other tasks as assigned
