About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Non-CDL Truck Driver in Wilmington, IL — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. This position is primarily responsible for safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard, but cannot drive on public roads. The position requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service. Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines, Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards, Maintaining accurate records and logs, Maintaining accurate move and yard inventory records, and Other tasks as assigned. Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Verifiable driving experience in "like" equipment: 9 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Yard Driver Examination
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
  • Candidates who possess a valid Commercial Drivers License will be subject to FMCSA requirements, including but not limited to, pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query.
