About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class C Truck Driver in Kent, WA — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Drivers Average $1120 Weekly. This position offers hourly pay of $28.00 Per Hour for 40+ hours per week. Hotel & Meals are provided for overnights. The schedule is Monday – Friday with some weekends, starting at 7:00 AM. This role involves delivering SOLO to Local, OR, WA, and ID. Route options include Day and Night runs. The equipment used is a 26' Straight Truck with a Pallet Jack, Lift Gate, Stair Crawlers, and a Tablet. Freight handled is Copy Machines, which is touch freight. Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance, and company drivers fuel up at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide. Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age
Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
Pass a Ryder Drug Test
Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck): 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
Pass a DOT physical
Pass a Ryder road test
Must have a valid driver’s license
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

Safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
Maintaining accurate records
Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
Other tasks as assigned
