About The Position

Ryder is hiring a NON CDL Truck Driver in Indianapolis, IN — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. This position offers a weekly pay of $927 or more, with opportunities for over 40 hours per week. Drivers will be paid weekly and will be responsible for solo miles and stops. Ryder will provide paid training. The schedule is Monday – Friday with a start time of 7:00 AM, and the route is within a 120-mile radius of Indianapolis, IN. Drivers will deliver SOLO and will be operating Box Trucks (16', 22' & 26') equipped with Pallet Jacks, Lift Gates & Hand Trucks. The freight is touch freight, specifically auto parts. Trucks are 36 months or newer and include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance. Drivers fuel up at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck): 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
• Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

• Safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
