About The Position

Ryder is hiring a NON-CDL Truck Driver in Carnegie, PA — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. This position offers an average weekly pay of $1031 with 40+ hours per week. Drivers will be paid weekly. The role involves solo miles and stops, with paid training. The schedule is Monday – Friday with no weekends, and a start time between 6:00 AM-7:00 AM. The delivery radius is 120 miles from Carnegie, PA. Drivers will operate Box Trucks (16', 22' & 26') and will be trained on equipment including Pallet Jack, Lift Gate & Hand Truck. The freight is touch freight, specifically auto parts. Ryder trucks are well-maintained, safe, 36 months or newer, with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations. Ryder also provides medical, dental & vision insurance after 30 days, 80 hours of PTO in the first year (starting Day 1), uniforms, cell phone & boot allowance. Drivers are empowered to make safety decisions with job protection. A 401(k) rollover is available with a company match after 1 year. There are 12 weeks of paid maternity leave (subject to eligibility criteria). Employee discounts on tools, vehicles, travel, tech & more are also offered. Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Must have verifiable driving experience (must be in like equipment if position being applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck): 6 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
• Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

• Safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Other tasks as assigned
