In this role, the Driver I will be responsible to provide safe, reliable, and efficient transportation. In the role, the commitment is to putting customers first, dedication to safety, and ambition to deliver quality service. Driver I is responsible for the proper handling of inbound and outbound cargo at the facility. This position is also responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the safe driving of a commercial motor vehicle, including pre and post-trip inspections, maintaining DOT required licenses and documentation, completing necessary paperwork, reporting any damage or exceptions, completing deliveries on schedule, interfacing with customers and airline agents effectively, and assisting in loading and unloading of vehicles. Drivers will need to verify that CUSD cards are correct and in place, and that airway bills and related ULD numbers coincide. The role requires providing outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner, and communicating any issues to a supervisor. The driver must comply with all contractual requirements of an owner operator and possess a valid Class C or B driver’s license, meeting the necessary requirements for each class.
