Truck Driver I - High Side

About The Position

PADNOS is a full-service recycling company serving consumer and industrial clients throughout the United States. The Truck Driver I drives company vehicles—including van trailers, highside trucks, switch trucks, box trucks, bulk tankers, or tow trucks—and switches trailers or containers at customer locations. The driver also performs other assignments as directed by Dispatch and is expected to demonstrate company values. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with Saturdays as needed, from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The role involves customer service, shipping and load documentation, inspections, vehicle upkeep, and work in an outdoor environment.

Requirements

High school diploma.
CDL Class A license with no manual transmission restriction (E restriction).
Clear driving record.
Proven customer service skills.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. while chaining.
Legible handwriting and strong mathematical skills.
Ability to work independently and be detail-oriented.
Ability to maintain logbooks.
Willingness to work outdoors.
Successfully complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
Must be over 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Service customer locations and maintain good customer relations.
Provide outstanding customer service as a company representative.
Prepare shipping documents for all loads, weigh loads, and perform initial material inspections.
Maintain paperwork for scale tickets, shippers, logbooks, and trip reports.
Complete and submit reports, including accident, damage, and traffic violation reports.
Perform daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections and submit daily vehicle inspection reports.
Submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required.
Inspect, tarp, and secure loads when necessary.
Maintain the inside of the truck.
Enter vendor codes and trip reports.
Switch trailers or containers at customer account locations.
Perform other driving assignments as directed by Dispatch.
Perform other duties as necessary.
