About The Position

Wilsonart, Denver, has an immediate opening for a Truck Driver I. This individual conducts assigned deliveries. Loads and unloads trucks in the assigned department/location. Performs other tasks as required.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED
• Must have a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s license
• Hazardous material endorsement
• 1+ years of local experience
• No chargeable accidents in five years
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation and state regulations and local laws pertaining to vehicle operations
• Knowledge of truck hauling procedures
• Knowledge of hazardous waste materials and safe handling procedures
• Working knowledge of curtain side trucks
• Skill in operating lift trucks
• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• CDL drivers must comply with all FMCSA regulations and are strictly prohibited from using a mobile device while driving. We have a zero-tolerance policy.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads materials
• Drives truck to destinations and returns safely
• Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations using Electronic Logging Device (ELD)
• Prepares and maintains required documentation
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies
• Positions hazardous material trailer identification
• Reads maps and plans routes to the load destination
• Maintains acceptable driving record
• Assists the needs of the customer
• Assists in the distribution center as necessary or directed
• Performs other tasks as required
