About The Position

The Driver/Installer completes assigned delivery and pickup routes for merchandise distributed to clients and installs items according to provided floor plans. The role supports shipping and receiving and applies to residential, commercial, special-event, and trade-show work. The Driver/Installer operates company vehicles safely and professionally, inspects and maintains assigned vehicles, handles merchandise and related paperwork, protects items during transport, and communicates customer or product concerns to management. The position also includes warehouse tasks and requires wearing the company-provided uniform during work hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least six months of experience in a similar industry; warehousing and inventory knowledge from a delivery company or similar industry is required.
• Ability to operate a 26-foot box truck.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet insurance underwriting requirements, including no points of violations in the past 12 months.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, including pre-employment drug testing.
• Must pass a background check.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds, climb stairs, bend, crouch, and remain physically active for extended periods.
• Ability to comply with DOT regulations.
• Organization and time-management skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer-service and problem-solving orientation.
• Availability to work rotating shifts, overtime, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to use basic tools such as screwdrivers, cordless drills, hammers, and other assembly tools.
• Basic math, organization, and reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles professionally and courteously while complying with DOT traffic laws, regulations, and safety rules.
• Perform daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report malfunctions to management.
• Deliver, install, and pick up merchandise from warehouses, vendors, and customers in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
• Fill delivery orders by obtaining the required merchandise and completing appropriate paperwork.
• Protect products using furniture pads, coverups, and other materials supplied by the company.
• Read, understand, and complete delivery paperwork, and verify merchandise against customer invoices and delivery or pickup documents.
• Maintain the provided tool kit in good condition and notify management when replacements are needed.
• Confirm with clients that delivered items are in good condition and obtain their signature on delivery documents.
• Inspect delivery and pickup facilities for existing damage, document it with photographs, and notify a manager before installation or pickup.
• Inspect furniture being picked up, report damage or missing items to management, and photograph damaged items before loading them onto the truck.
• Relay customer messages and communications to appropriate management.
• Help maintain a neat and clean workplace.
• Assist with stocking shipping and receiving, including lifting and carrying cartons and placing them on shelves.
• Follow floor plans and direct or carry out deliveries with other helpers.
• Wear the company-provided uniform during work hours.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
