About The Position

As a Union - Truck Driver CDL, you will deliver material to customers utilizing company-owned or leased trucks. You will also be responsible for preventive maintenance. This role involves transporting cargo to and from specified destinations, preparing, receiving, and providing appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick-up of goods to ensure timely service. A satisfactory driving record and applicable truck driver license for the state are required.

Requirements

• Must have a "satisfactory" driving record.
• Requires applicable truck driver license for state.
• Must have a valid Truck Driver license.
• 2 years required of truck driving experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods.
• Vision - near, far, night.
• Ability to detect or tell differences between sounds varying in pitch and loudness.
• Ability to quickly respond (with hand, finger, foot) to signals (sound, light, picture) when it appears.

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load, secure, verify, and unload cargo.
• Maintain contact with dispatcher to receive instruction for delivery or pick up.
• Verify contents of inventory loads with shipping papers.
• Maintain records in accordance with regulations.
• Perform emergency repairs such as changing tires or installing light bulbs etc.
• Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.
