About The Position

Ryder is hiring a local Class A CDL truck driver in Clarksville, Tennessee. Drivers deliver auto parts to Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Mississippi, return home daily, and operate solo using a day cab and a 53-foot dry van. Freight is no-touch, and strong backing skills are required. The position offers weekly pay, with drivers on this account earning $1,280 or more per week, plus potential sign-on, shutdown, and safety bonuses. The schedule is Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday, with an AM or PM start time determined by a bid system. Drivers operate well-maintained trucks that are 36 months old or newer, with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at Ryder maintenance locations nationwide. Ryder describes the role as offering driver autonomy and support during the transition to company driving and throughout the driver’s career. A company-paid scale bypass is provided. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage after 30 days; PTO accrual starting on Day 1; uniforms and a boot allowance; a 401(k) rollover option and company match after one year; eligible paid maternity leave; and employee discounts.
