About The Position

We have an opening for a Class A Driver for our Driver Development Program in Owensboro, KY. This program is designed for new CDL Class A Graduates with zero experience required to qualify. Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations. Requirements

• 9 months or less of CDL driving experience
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder background and a Motor Vehicle Registration check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) regarding the checking in and out of freight
• Perform other duties as assigned
