About The Position

New CDL Graduate Start your Career with Ryder's Driver Development Program. We have a Class A Driver opening in Findlay, OH for New CDL Graduates that have received their CDL License. We want the right driver to join us at Ryder. If you have 6-9 Months Experience, ask about our Extended Driver Development Program! We have developed proficiency-based training with experienced facilitators. Drivers will receive 8 weeks of training focusing on all backing, close quarter maneuvers, practice doing short and longer runs and get paid while doing so. Gain hands-on experience from the finest instructors in the industry. Ryder Employees who Drive on this account earn $1075 or more Weekly and it gets better. Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly. Weekly Minimum Guarantee during training $1075 per week. Weekly Minimum Guarantee after training $1415 per week. Paid Training Schedule: Monday – Friday or Sunday - Thursday. Start Time: AM or PM based on route bid. Tractor Type: Day Cab. Trailer Type: 53' Dry Van. Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful. Freight Type: Auto Parts. Requirements

• 9 months or less of CDL driving experience
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder background and a Motor Vehicle Registration check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A
• Ability to Follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
• Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Nice To Haves

• Must be willing to obtain Fast Pass for deliveries to CAN

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) regarding the checking in and out of freight
• Perform other duties as assigned
