About The Position

Immediate opening for a Dedicated SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver. Ryder in Locust Grove, GA is looking for the right Trucker to join their team. This position offers weekly pay, with drivers earning $1000 or more per week. The hourly pay is $25.00 per hour for 40+ hours per week. Paid training is provided. The schedule is Sunday - Tuesday, with alternating Wednesdays, starting at 6:00 AM. Ryder promises transparency regarding pay and route details. Drivers will deliver SOLO within a 26-mile radius of Locust Grove, GA, returning home daily. The route involves a Dry Van trailer (28' and 53') and No Touch freight. Trucks are 36 months or newer and include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance. Drivers fuel up at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide. Ryder also offers benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance after 30 days, 80 hours of PTO in the first year (starting Day 1), and a boot allowance. Drivers are empowered to make safety decisions with job protection. A 401(k) rollover is available, with a company match after 1 year. Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
  • Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
  • Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Performs other duties as assigned
