About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Niagara Falls, NY, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career. This position involves regional routes to IN, WI, and OH, driving Freightliner Cascadia Sleeper tractors with 48' and 53' Dry Van trailers. The freight consists of no-touch large paper rolls. Drivers can expect to average $1700 weekly, with top earners making over $1900, based on $0.57 per mile (2000-3000 miles per week), $22.15 per stop (13 stops per week), and $22.15 per diem for 3-4 nights out a week. Paid training is provided, and the typical start time is between 3:00 AM - 5:00 AM. Ryder provides trucks that are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance, and company drivers fuel up at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide. Ryder also offers support for those considering becoming a Company Driver by purchasing their truck.

Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age
Pass a Ryder Drug Test
Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
Pass a DOT physical
Pass a Ryder road test
Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
