About The Position

J&J Truck Bodies and Trailers & J&J Truck Equipment are looking for experienced truck body installers. This role involves preparing chassis to receive bodies, cutting, welding, and modifying chassis as required. The installer will also be responsible for installing wiring and electrical components, hydraulic system components, lift axles, plow hoists, body hoists, hydraulic cylinders, and pneumatic components and controls. Similar tasks will be performed on trailers.

Requirements

• Experienced truck body installers
• Competent in basic shop math

Responsibilities

• Check driveshaft clearance
• Ensure proper routing of airlines
• Modify and prepare chassis as required by the work order
• Install wiring and electrical components
• Install pneumatic controls and components
• Install hydraulic controls and components
• Install plow lifts and hoists
• Install lift axles
• Install body hoists and hoist cylinder(s)
• Safely perform duties; wear always required PPE
• Observes and complies with all provisions of the ISO 9001 QMS
• Performs similar tasks on trailers
