Truancy Elimination Case Worker
About The Position
As a Truancy Elimination Caseworker, you will work with children, youth, and families in conjunction with Huntingdon County Children & Youth Services and area school districts. Coordinate and facilitate a meeting between the student, family, service providers, and school district to develop a Truancy Elimination Plan, which addresses student’s attendance needs while also supporting the family in actively participating in the development and implementation of their Truancy Elimination Plan. Prepare and complete required documentation; including case notes, in compliance with regulations and company standards while also being available and prepared to provide court testimony in a professional manner as needed and scheduled.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field; or Bachelor’s Degree in unrelated field with minimum 12 credits in a Human Service related course; i.e., psychology, sociology, counseling, etc.
- Associates Degree in related field with an additional 3 year’s experience working/training with children and families
- A valid Pennsylvania Driver’s license with good driving record
