The TRP Diagnostic & Prognostic team develops data-driven diagnostics, prognostic algorithms, and pre-emptive monitors that help GM identify potential vehicle issues in EV battery systems, so problems can be investigated and addressed before they become broader field or customer issues. While working cross functionally within a scrum, the team uses connected-vehicle data and diagnostic insights to improve vehicle quality, support early issue detection, and enable targeted engineering actions across the vehicle lifecycle. This position will support development of diagnostics and prognostics related to thermal runaway propagation in HV Battery systems on GM vehicles. The selected candidate will run tests, analyze data, and develop calibrations that ensure feature/diagnostic functionality and software robustness. Successful candidates will utilize system hardware/software troubleshooting skills to work with their designated scrum to develop and test calibrations for TRP related features and diagnostics. Candidates will need to work closely with the controls, software, and test engineers in their scrum to develop solutions and resolve issues.
